
Edward "Eddie" Gajadar
Eddie Gajadar is a Founding Member of the African Burial Ground Memorial Foundation and serves as Secretary. In addition, Mr. Gajadar is the Strategic Project Manager for the Cultural Museum of African Art, Inc. - The Eric Edwards Collection. He has worked for Dr. Eric Edwards and CMAAEEC since December 2019.
Eddie's work with CMAAEEC includes Grant Writing, Construction
Management, Exhibition Implementation, Event Planning, Institutional
Advancement, External Relationship Development, Exhibition Requests,
Media & Communications, Educational Programming, Community
Engagement, Digital Heritage Preservation Management, Implementation of Extended Reality Experiences, and Master Planning, amongst other roles and responsibilities.
Eddie has had a career that has included teaching 4th grade in the South
Bronx, Police Officer in the NYPD, Administrator at St. John's University and a traditional business owner.
Mr. Gajadar is a lifelong New Yorker. He attended K-12 in the Chelsea
neighborhood of Manhattan. Attended Lehman College (CUNY) in his beloved Bronx during his first year of college. He then transferred to the Queens campus of St. John's University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree from the St. John's University School of Law.
